By using Clearical, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect

3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
The majority of your data is stored locally on your device:
- Database: Time entries, work buckets, and cached data are stored in an SQLite database on your device.
- Screenshots: Captured screenshots are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and stored locally. The encryption key is protected by your operating system's secure storage (Keychain on macOS).
- API Credentials: Jira and Tempo API tokens are encrypted using your operating system's secure storage and never transmitted except to authenticate with those services.
3.2 Cloud Services
Limited data is transmitted to third-party services:
- Supabase: Handles authentication. Stores your email address and authentication tokens.
- Stripe: Processes payments. Stores customer ID, subscription status, and payment method details.
- Anthropic (Optional): If you enable AI-powered screenshot analysis, screenshot data may be sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This feature is optional and can be disabled.
3.3 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest (AES-256-GCM)
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
